Seeing the Best

We once had a man who went by Buck here at camp. A Native American and a long-time friend of my grandfather’s, he introduced some of those traditions and cultural practices to camp. Now, that was all before my time, but Grandpa would always say that Buck never had anything bad to say about a person. Can you imagine it? The Value of a Challenge

The third week was full of events that worked to challenge the boys. Starting with  Gold Rush, a few sailing regattas with the Woodland girls, and rounding out with Paul Bunyan Day yesterday, in addition to the regular activities, I can hardly keep track! Even when the weather isn’t perfect, the boys enjoy their time in numerous productive […]

The Ready Camp

The camp is ready now, waiting for the campers to arrive and breathe a little life into the place. Of course, some of us have been around long enough to witness the slow awakening of the grounds: from quiet and sleepy pre-pre-camp to the boisterous and busy pre-camp, to the arrival of campers on the first day of camp. We’ve been getting things in order for you all! The process of set-up is a little different every year, just like […]
