Welcome (Back) Angie!

IMG_4303aWe are officially counting down the last 20 days to camp!  Less than 20 days before your camper:

  • Sees the Towering Pines Sign
  • Finds out who will be in his cabin
  • Makes new friends for the summer
  • Tastes their favorite meal (Jambalaya is already set on the menu)
  • Swims in one of most beautiful lakes in Northern Wisconsin
  • Sets out on the adventure of a lifetime

But before all that happens, we wanted to introduce a new staff member.  We are pleased to welcome Angie to the Towering Pines10308361_760573153965027_3419828379832506280_n Team!  She actually isn’t new at all! Angie is a Camp Woodland alum and worked as a counselor, assistant waterfront director and helped with staff training for Camp Woodland for 6 years (way back when!!).  Angie has her B.A. in Business and Vocational Education and her M.A. in Deaf Education.  She also taught as well as started an accredited early childhood education center.
For the past 8 years Angie has been part of the non-profit organization, The GRACE Foundation (Grand Island Area Cancer Endowment).  She served as the Director of the Race for GRACE 10K in which all proceeds assist individuals and families with cancer. 12823520_10208125600205121_7465482006628308659_o

Angie is excited to return to camp this summer and to have her 2 youngest children attending camp at Woodland and Towering Pines!  Working at camp was a life changing experience for her, and she is extremely excited to share her passion for camp and education with the campers and staff this year!!
