6/25 Monday – Great day for sailing!

6/25 Monday
Chief of the Day:  Pedro (Cabin 5)
Now that was a chilly night!  Fortunately, we all have comfy/thick blankets.  It turned out to be a gorgeous day:  blue skies and a friendly warm sun.  First session activities began with excitement and eagerness.  As always, a few kids are still figuring out what activities suit them best, but it only takes 1 or 2 days for them to settle into a fun routine.
It’s great to finally hear the sounds of camp come alive again.  Looks like we have a warm and sunny week ahead.  Both lakes have been relatively calm the past couple days, but I’m sure the sailors will be rewarded soon with strong winds!
Cabin activities have started, fueled by a yummy dinner of chicken patties and tater tots.  Cabin 3 is playing Kick the Can, Cabins 5/6 are battling it out in dodgeball, 7 is enjoying a peaceful Nokomis with kayaks, Cabin 8 is burning calories with water volleyball, 11 is doing basketball and 12 is canoeing in preparation for their canoe trip tomorrow, the first of the year!  I love evening activities!!!
So far so good!  Should be another awesome day tomorrow!
