Today’s blog is written by camper Diego L. as part of the Journalism Workshop at Towering Pines.

For this blog, Diego came up with the theme of “camper experiences,” interviewed all the campers included in the story, then took & edited photos of these campers.  Nice work Diego!

Hi TP parents,

My name is Diego L. , a fifth-year camper here at Towering Pines. This week I interviewed a cross-mix of TP campers about their experiences at Towering Pines.  The campers included an American camper, a Mexican camper, a Greek camper, a first-year CIT, and a second-year CIT. The purpose of the interviews was to share with parents what your sons are doing and experiencing here at camp.

Q: What’s the difference between being a first year and second year CIT?

A: When you’re a first year CIT, you just get more responsibilities but you still feel like a camper.  As a second year CIT taking care of your cabin, you actually feel like a counselor.

Q: What are your top 3 workshops?

A: Ping pong, Land Sports, and Fencing.

Below are some photos taken by Diego, which he wants to share with TP parents so they can see the beautiful place where their sons go to camp:
